From implementation to performance: the next challenge for Verification of Payee

Verification of Payee has moved beyond its launch phase.  Across Europe, financial institutions have spent the past year responding to new regulatory requirements, connecting to scheme infrastructure and integrating payee verification into customer payment journeys.  Now the focus is shifting from implementation to performance: ensuring VoP works reliably, quickly and consistently every time a customer makes a payment.  As VoP becomes embedded into everyday payment experiences, its success will increasingly be judged by customers and operations teams – not just compliance teams.
