Sharan Moore- Software Engineer, Monzo

Sharan is a backend engineer at Monzo bank. There she works within the Operations collective, building, maintaining and improving the customer service experience. Prior to joining Monzo, she worked in financial software and e-commerce industries, in both large and tiny engineering departments. She picked up Go when she joined Monzo, but is still prone to a few Java habits breaking through!

Nicole Gillett - Software Engineer, Cloudflare

Nicole is a Software Engineer at Cloudflare, London. She is on the Trust & Safety team, who are dedicated to making the internet safer for everyone.

She discovered the joys of coding during a computational research project as part of her MSc in Neuroscience also from University College London. She is a Go engineer by trade but enjoys dabbling in Python and learning new languages. She has hands-on experience building scalable systems, which she cannot wait to share!

Patrycja Wegrzynowicz - Senior Platform Engineer, Form3

Patrycja is a senior platform engineer at Form3, Financial Cloud, working on resilient multi-cloud connectivity between AWS, GCP, and Azure. She is also the founder of Yon Labs, a startup focusing on automated tools for detection and refactoring of security vulnerabilities, performance anti-patterns, or cloud issues and providing consultancy in Java and cloud technologies.

She was awarded an Oracle Groundbreaker Ambassador title in 2020 and 2021. She was also named as one of Top 10 Women in Tech in Poland in 2016.

Rebecca Taft - Engineering Manager, Cockroach Labs

Rebecca is the Engineering Manager of the SQL Queries team at Cockroach Labs. Prior to joining Cockroach Labs, she was a Computer Science Ph.D. student at MIT, where she worked with Professor Michael Stonebraker researching distributed database elasticity and multi-tenancy. In her free time, she enjoys rowing on the Chicago River and enjoying the great outdoors.

Alex found her passion when she switched career from finance and entered the world of engineering after a bootcamp. Now she gets to use Go to fight crime while travelling the world.

Adelina Simion - Technology Evangelist, Form3

Adelina is a Technology Evangelist at Form3 in London, UK. She started her career as a Java engineer, then converted to Go in 2018. She is currently in charge of telling Form3's great tech stories, drawing from her own technical experience. Adelina is passionate about sharing good technical content for beginners, who might be intimidated by the abstract concepts and jargon of most technical discussions.

She has also published two LinkedIn Learning courses on Go, which have helped thousands of developers upskill in Go.

Leah Cohen - CTO, SOS Dance.

Leah comes from a sporting background, competing at a national level in swimming for ten years, and now an avid tennis player. She brought the determination she learned through years of training into her career, working her way through a number of companies until she found SOS; a global movement in dance, using technology to distribute world class dance routines and build a close knit community worldwide, with female empowerment at it's core.
